a collection of things i actually eat.
some are family recipes. some came from the internet. some are things i invented at midnight because there was nothing in the refrigerator.
please don't judge the measurements.
recipe no. 001
midnight chocolate cake
rich / dark / completely unnecessary

ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 egg
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ cup hot coffee
instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Mix the dry ingredients together.
- Add the egg, milk, oil and vanilla.
- Slowly pour in the hot coffee. The batter will look suspiciously liquid. This is correct.
- Pour into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes.
- Let cool before eating half of it directly from the pan.

this tastes better at approximately
11:47pm while wearing pajamas.

suspiciously good tomato pasta
cheap / comforting / red

ingredients
- pasta
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic
- olive oil
- butter
- parmesan
- salt + pepper
- red pepper flakes
- fresh basil, if available
instructions
- Cook the pasta.
- Fry the garlic gently in olive oil.
- Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes.
- Let everything simmer until it smells significantly better.
- Add a little butter.
- Toss in the pasta.
- Cover with an irresponsible amount of parmesan.
† important:
garlic is technically a vampire
deterrent. proceed anyway.

cherry cola float
technically a beverage / spiritually dessert

ingredients
- cherry cola
- vanilla ice cream
- maraschino cherries
- ice
instructions
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Add cherry cola.
- Put an unreasonable amount of vanilla ice cream on top.
- Add cherries.
- Drink immediately.
☾ best consumed:
after coming home from downtown
at an irresponsible hour.

instructions
- Make coffee.
- Forget about it.
- Find it 45 minutes later.
- Reheat it.
- Continue writing your diary.
